Whalen Dermatology was a sponsor of the 2022 Melanoma Walk at South Park on June 11, 2022.  The Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation is a Pittsburgh-based 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to raise melanoma awareness in the Pittsburgh area through prevention and early detection. PMF is ran be a group of volunteers who have all been personally impacted by melanoma. Some of them are survivors, caretakers, healthcare workers, and family and friends of those who have battled melanoma. Since 2012, they have donated $345,000 to melanoma research and awareness programs happening in Pittsburgh. Proceeds from our 2022 fundraisers will benefit Allegheny Health Network under the direction of Dr. Howard Edington.  The doctors, staff and family participated in this year’s walk to help raise melanoma awareness.
