Whalen Dermatology is a sponsor of the 2023 Melanoma Walk at South Park on June 3, 2023. The Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation is a Pittsburgh-based 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to raise melanoma awareness in the Pittsburgh area through prevention and early detection. PMF is ran be a group of volunteers who have all been personally impacted by melanoma. Some of us are survivors, caretakers, healthcare workers, and family and friends of those who have battled melanoma. Since 2012, we have donated $345,000 to melanoma research and awareness programs happening in Pittsburgh. Proceeds from our 2023 fundraisers will benefit Allegheny Health Network under the direction of Dr. Howard Edington.
